Environmental Health - Private Water

Water Well Permits - Any property owner intending to construct, develop, alter or seal a private water system or have such operations performed by another person, must apply for a permit from the Preble County General Health District.

Well Water Samples - Water samples may be taken in existing wells and tested for bacteria and nitrate
content. Contact the Health District at 937-472-0087 to schedule a sample.

Disinfecting the Well - Disinfecting your well can be done by the owner.
